The first time I tried VR (HTC Vive) I was blown away. If you can do so with an open mind and without any pre-conceived conclusions, I bet you'd be positively surprised. I can really recommend trying it out under proper conditions. Then you can just make up your own claims like "VR is not ready for prime time" without the hassle of backing it up by anything. But, of course, being a know-it-all comes a lot easier when you have no real experience to base it on.
